Too Close To Touch stream their newest album, NerveEndings, on Youtube
There's something nostalgic about any song that's called 'Someday'. That uncertainty that lies deep withing the deixis of the word "some"... it may be tomorrow, a year from now, hell, it might as well never be. But there's no ground for despair, just for lingering hope. That's kinda where this Too Close To Touch song is getting at.
The guys mix up hope with sorrow though, when they say 'Someday I will be something / You will be somewhere that you're just out of reach'. We immediately remembered the anguished search for a perfect present time in "The Butterfly Effect". The ending of the movie is just this line from Too Close To Touch: everything is perfect, Evan and Kayleigh are both safe, he's someone, she's someone, but they're completely out of each other's reach. Hope this dim remembrance doesn't retain you guys from checking out the rest of the album. Check back with sweetslyrics in a couple of hours for the full album lyrics. Cheers!
