Marina and The Diamonds debuts at No. 1 with Electra Heart
While she was forced to postpone her upcoming UK Tour due to vocal chords illness, Marina and the Diamonds has claimed her first UK number one album with Electra Heart second LP. She beat off her nearest rival Lana Del Rey, who climbed a place to second position with Born To Die, while last week's number one Jack White fell two to three with Blunderbuss.
Meanwhile, Norah Jones scored the second highest new entry of the week with Little Broken Hearts at four, while Adele completed the top five with long-runner 21. Olly Murs, Jessie J and Emeli Sandé each climb a place to six, seven and eight respectively, with Nicki Minaj dropping six spots to ten with Roman Reloaded. Marilyn Manson achieved his sixth UK top 20 album with Born Villain at 14, while Mystery Jets land at 40 with Radlands.
Rebecca Ferguson jumps 17 places to 13 with Heaven and Alex Clare climbs up nine to 17 with The Lateness of the Hour thanks to the success of single 'Too Close'.
